45 | 60 | 90 mins     Therapeutic Massage     $55 | $70 | $99

This massage style aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body, and is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Therapeutic massage session may include other healing techniques like Myofascial release which focus on loosening the connective tissue which surrounds the muscle fibers. This treatment allows muscles to have space to relax to, and can help assist the body to realign, and diminish pain from myofascial tenderness. This slow, and warming technique communicates with the body, asking the body to release the tension instead of forcing the connective tissue and muscles to respond.  Many patients receiving myofascial release on a consistent basis have reported overall improvement of their condition, diminished pain, soreness, and headaches after treatment, and prolonged relief after and individual treatment.

45 | 60 | 90 mins    Japanese Reiki Energy Healing    $39 | $55 | $69

Reiki, (pronounced "ray-key"), is a hands on healing technique that originated in Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui in the 1920's. Reiki is a natural holistic complementary form of help for stress relief,  and relaxation, that also promotes healing and helps with your pain threshold. It is not a cure for any diseases, but a help with relaxing the body. We see it as a supplementary energy therapy that works in harmony with other types of medicine to combat anxieties and illnesses. It is a laying of hands above or on certain areas of the body, while you are fully clothed, and lying on a massage therapy table. A Reiki session covers emotional, mental and physical areas including the head, front of the body, back, and feet.  The sessions focus on the energy centers called Chakras, which when out of balance are linked to physical, mental, emotional and spiritual issues.

Reiki Master practitioners act as conduits, channeling the intuitive healing life force energy to areas of a client's body that is need of help; cleansing and relaxing. Our gift comes from a Higher source, our creator. We have to be Attuned by a Reiki Master Practitioner, and this lineage goes back centuries. My direct lineage includes only a few Reiki masters, directly to Mikao Usui.  I have studied Reiki for over 3 years and completed Reiki Master course 3 in November of 2016. I have since continued my education with local instructors regarding Integrated Chakra healing, and intend to continue with the role of Reiki and massage as a healing practice.   I am thrilled that Reiki healing for people and animals is growing more well known, and I also plan to expand my services to offer Reiki for animals.  For more information on Reiki energy healing for people and animals, see the provided links to the left.

cupping-therapy

Cupping has long been used to help treat upper respiratory infections like cold and flu, as well as other issues like cellulite, arthritis, migraines, anxiety and depression.

60 | 90  mins    Chinese Cupping Therapy    $85 | $110

Cupping has long been an important part of traditional Chinese medicine, and has a long history in Asian culture. It has also been recorded in Ancient Greek writing and Egyptian hieroglyphs. Cupping is a physical therapy used to treat pathologies by use of negative pressure created from fire or vacuum pump cups.

The session begins with a gentle oil massage moving up and down the length of the spine. Negative pressure created inside the cup helps to lift and separate the connective tissue and tight muscle; aiding in release of pain and tension in the body.  Cups can be glided along the whole body during the massage, or placed on specific meridian energy points. Finally, the tissue is then smoothed out after the cups have been taken off the body.

Cupping can create a mechanical warming stimulation, as well as produce temporary circular "love-bite" marks, as seen on celebrities like Gwyeneth Paltrow and Jennifer Anniston after their cupping therapy sessions.
